There are numerous ways of getting to our little paradise island Koh Tao. Please find below a list of possibilities.
Fly to Samui and take a fast ferry to Koh Tao
The fastest and most convenient option is a flight to Koh Samui combined with a fast ferry connection from Koh Samui via Koh Phangan to Koh Tao, if you are going for this option and do not want to spend a night in Samui it is important to know, that the last fast ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Tao departs at 13:30, to be on the safe side the latest you should arrive is 11:30 at Koh Samui airport.
Two companies are providing fast and comfortable connections: Seatran and Lomprayah.
The Seatran ferry terminal is located at Big Buddha, close to the airport, while the Lomprayah pier is a little bit further away at Maenam.

Come down from Bangkok via Bus, Airplane or Train and use a fast ferry from Chumphon
Lomprayah is also offering a bus – ferry combination ticket from Bangkok to Koh Tao. This is not really the most comfortable solution, since you will spend the whole night on a bus. You can find this connection under the above Lomprayah link. Far better is the airplane – ferry combination ticket, starting from Don Muang airport in Bangkok via the little domestic airport in Chumphon. It’s a fairly small airplane but so far none of them fell down ;-). You can book this combination online with Nok Air. Hint: The island destinations like Koh Tao are below the international destinations which are below all the direct flight domestic destinations. So don’t let your logic fool you!

Another slow but comfortable connection is using the sleeper train from Bangkok. You will arrive in the early morning at Chumphon railway station where you can board the Lomprayah bus which will bring you to the ferry terminal for the ferry leaving at 7:00 am.
With the over night connections by bus or by train you will still be able to join in on a regular 4 Day Ang Thong Sailing Safari leaving that morning.
