The Phi Phi Islands are probably the best known and most visited small island group in Thailand. The two main islands, Koh Phi Phi Don and Koh Phi Phi Leh, are located approximately 40km south east of Phuket. Their popularity derives from being the place where the movie “The Beach” was filmed.
Due to their relatively isolated location far away from the mainland, the Racha islands are blessed with crystal clear waters, colorful reefs and an abundance of tropical fish. This island group provides some of the best snorkeling experience of any island in close proximity of Phuket Island.
The World Heritage Site Phang Nga Bay, situated on the mainland between the northeastern side of the Phuket and Krabi Province, is home to some of the most interesting cruising destinations found in Southeast Asia. Its geographical location is sheltered from the prevailing monsoonal winds, making it the perfect place to for a luxury yacht cruise all year round.
