Island Cruises Sailing Introductory Course offers you the chance for you to gain a little hands on experience at the Helm of an Island Cruises Yacht and an insight to some technical aspects involved in crewing a Sail Boat.
Key aspects of Sailing covered in this course include Seamanship, Nautical Terms, Parts of the Sail Boat, Technical Specifications of the Sail boat, Sailing Theory, Knots and Navigation, understanding how to use a compass, common Knots required on a Sail boat.

Note this is an introductory course and participant will gain a basic knowledge and understanding of the different elements involved in Sailing, however participants will be issued a Ocean Hiker Licence equivalent to the Competent Crew Licence.
