Lagoon 380 - Phuket, Thailand
Bareboat charter yacht Lagoon 380
The catamaran Lagoon 380 is the undisputed world sales champion in its league. With more than 650 units delivered, this sailing catamaran shows the growing popularity of multihulls in general and the popularity of the Lagoon 380 in particular.
Although the Lagoon 380 might be the smallest of the Lagoon family, it’s not short on features and space. This bareboat charter yacht provides space for a crew of 8 in 4 double cabins. Sporting a headroom of 1.95 m in saloon and hulls, this catamaran provides that airy feeling you would like to have on your yacht charter in Thailand.
On deck of bareboat charter yacht Lagoon 380
This sailing catamaran is fractionally rigged with a fully battened and roached main of 48m² with two reefs and a roller furling genoa of 31m². All controls lead back to the cockpit and everything can be done from there. The hardware is high quality gear from Harken, including self tailing winches, 8 well dimensioned mooring cleats and adjustable genoa cars. Thanks to the wide side decks and the rigid walkway on the trampoline moving around is safe and easy. The helmsman’s seat on this bareboat charter yacht is to port with instruments, engine controls and two winches at hand. Due to the very spacious interior for a catamaran of this size, the cockpit is a bit smaller than normal, but does provide ample seating for 8 people without using the double helmsman’s seat.
Below deck of bareboat charter yacht Lagoon 380
Coming inside you will understand why yacht tests for this catamaran were titled “a very big small boat”. The two double cabins to stern are boasting queen size beds while the two doubles to the bow are rather what you would expect on a bareboat charter yacht. There are two shower/head units, one in the center of each hull to be shared between the two double cabins in each hull.
The spacious saloon provides 360° vision to enjoy the stunning surroundings on your yacht charter in Thailand. The galley is located
between saloon and cockpit with a sliding window, which when put back allows access to a folding table for serving through to the cockpit. Worth mentioning are the completely separate engine compartments accessible from external stern hatches. This allows for excellent noise reduction towards the aft cabins which are in fact very quiet when the engines are in use.
The Lagoon 380 available for bareboat charter in Thailand is not the Standard, but Premium version with the higher level of trim and the most powerful engines available for the Beneteau Lagoon 380 series, the Yanmar 3YM30 with 29 hp each, instead of the non satisfactory Volvos with only 18 hp.
Summary of bareboat charter yacht Lagoon 380
